The concept of grilling Saganaki cheese began several hundreds of years ago by Vlah shepherds at the foot of Mount Olympus in the central region of Greece. Named after a sagani, which is the small, two-handled frying pan in which it is traditionally prepared. For apparent reasons, Saganaki is often referred to as “The Flaming Cheese”. Our variety is a traditional yet re-tuned version made from cow’s milk that brings this ancient classic up-to-date. As with our popular Halloumi, this amazing cheese never melts – simply grill on both sides for a couple of minutes and you have the simplest, tastiest appetizer that has been enjoyed for centuries.Ships expedited in an insulated package to ensure freshness
