Polish cuisine was brought to northwest Ohio in the 1860s and developed into distinctive and rich traditions of Polish-American dishes, recipes, ingredients, and foodways. These are celebrated today publicly at festivals and privately in the home, at church, and at Polish community and heritage organizations.
This short documentary is part of a larger project on northwest Ohio foodways traditions and promotes our overall purpose of exploring the ways in which food connects us all. Created and sponsored by the Center for Food and Culture (pending non-profit status in Bowling Green OH). For more information, see www.foodandculture.org.
